See here for further details. The aim of the Nordic Harp Meeting is to gather Nordic musicians who play, build or like the harp, kantele, lyre and related instruments, to get to know each other, teach tunes to each other and play together. Everybody is welcome who is interested in stringed instruments, no matter if you are advanced harper or beginner, professional musician or just curious! Because the harp meeting will be in Norway this time, we will naturally have workshops for Norwegian folk harp (bondeharpe), langleik and lyre, but of course all other instruments are welcome as well, and we can look forward to interesting transfer of knowledge between these instruments! The Nordic Harp Meeting 2010 is supported by the Nordic Culture Fund and the foundation Rådet for folkemusikk og folkedans, and will be arranged in cooperation with Gjøvik spelmannslag and Tradisjonsmusikkarkivet Mjøsmuseet.
